Therapy that moves with you
Sometimes the best conversations happen when we’re not sitting face-to-face in an office
Walk and Talk Therapy combines the benefits of traditional therapy with gentle movement and fresh air. Instead of meeting in a therapy room, we meet outdoors and walk side-by-side while we talk through whatever is on your mind.
For many women, especially moms balancing anxiety, stress, and the weight of childhood experiences— movement can help thoughts flow more freely and make therapy feel more natural and less intimidating.
At CBG Counseling, Walk and Talk sessions are designed to help you process emotions, regulate your nervous system, and reconnect with yourself while moving your body.
-
Many clients find that walking helps them:
Organize their thoughts
Reduce anxious energy
Feel more grounded in their body
Talk more freely about difficult experiences
Leave sessions feeling lighter and more regulated
-
Walk and Talk sessions are similar to traditional therapy sessions, just with movement included.
Sessions typically:
Last 45 minutes
Take place at a predetermined walking location
Move at a relaxed, conversational pace
Include pauses if needed for deeper processing
We will also discuss privacy, comfort level, and safety before beginning.
-
Walk and Talk Therapy may be a good fit if you:
Feel restless or anxious sitting still in therapy
Enjoy being outside or moving your body
Process emotions better while walking
Want therapy to feel more relaxed and natural
Are looking for a gentle way to incorporate movement into mental health care
